Sommarovina Valtellina Superiore (case of 6)
This has been named one of the best Nebbiolo wines by New York Times and we cannot do anything but to agree. It is from Sassella sub-region vineyards in Triasso and made from 100% Nebbiolo.
As most Nebbiolo's it has ruby red color with garnet. It has a fine bouquet of red and black fruits sweetened by spicy notes. It has herb and spicelike notes with an elegant mineral finish.
12 months aging in oak barrels and aged for an additional 10 months in bottle but can be saved for many years.
